Digital Product Delivery

An inclusive, scalable and adaptive learning platform

As a Product Designer at No Moss, I played a pivotal role in crafting a transformative digital learning platform for APM's 'Employable Me' program. By designing an inclusive, scalable, and adaptive solution, we empowered APM, a global leader in human services, to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge they need to overcome barriers and thrive in the workforce. This platform prioritises accessibility, localisation, and sustainable content management to ensure a seamless and impactful learning experience for all.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, I was responsible for the full design lifecycle, from conceptualising wireframes to creating interactive prototypes and final, production-ready designs. My focus was on crafting user-centric interfaces optimised for mobile devices and adhering to WCAG AA accessibility standards to ensure global accessibility. I developed a scalable design system to maintain consistency across the platform and collaborated closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, to facilitate smooth handoffs and ensure seamless design-to-code translation through regular reviews and feedback sessions.

Project Highlights

Future-Proof Scaling: Designed a modular framework that allowed the platform to adapt to APM’s various programs. This enabled the platform to scale effectively, ensuring sustainability and easy localisation for international markets with multi-language support.

Rapid Market Expansion: The platform’s adaptability and localisation features facilitated its successful international launch, initially debuting in Canada and paving the way for future expansion in three additional countries.

Empowering Diverse Learning Journeys: Ensured the platform’s design was inclusive by employing accessibility best practices and a mobile-first strategy. This enabled learners with different needs and devices to have a seamless experience.

Results

The new ‘Employable Me’ platform delivered tangible results, empowering participants, consultants, and program managers alike. By increasing access to learning resources, the platform accelerated participant re-entry into the workforce. Additionally, it equipped consultants with the tools they needed to provide superior support, enabling program managers to meet rigorous requirements and secure new contracts. The platform's successful implementation in Canada demonstrated its scalability, positioning APM for global expansion and RFFR compliance in Australia.
